Job Purpose: The Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role being responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing payroll according to schedule and in the correct amount. Duties include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll system, calculating paycheck amounts and distributing funds to employee accounts.

Full time Location: Toledo, Ohio

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for all employees.

• Serve as the 401K Plan Administrator and help oversee during 401K audits.

• Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

• Impact the company culture positively by communicating necessary information in a manner that supports management objectives

• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping current with existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.

• Complete special projects by setting timelines and schedules, conducting research, compile and organize information, and completing tasks.

Position Requirements:

• Education:

o High school diploma

o CPP or FPC preferred

• Experience:

o 3 years experience in a payroll processing position.

• Required Skills:

o General knowledge of payroll and wage and hour laws and practices.

o Experience in the administration of payroll reporting.

o Proficient computer skills to include the MS office suite.

o Effective oral and written communication skills.

o Strong interpersonal skills.

o Excellent organizational and time management skills.
